Marina is a multi disciplinary artist who lives and creates on the unceded territories of the xwməθkwəy̓əm, Skwxwú7mesh, and Səl̓ílwətaɬ Nations. Her practice focuses on natural environments, its histories, and interactions with the Capitalocene. She explores what it means to be ‘connected’ to the land as a mixed-race settler and how her upbringings shape her perspectives. Her recent printmaking practice utilizes discarded objects, natural materials, collage, and origami, capturing the spaces between biotic beauty and industrial obstructions. She holds a Fine Arts Diploma from Langara College and a BFA from Emily Carr University.
